Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Download Wamoboard free and use every feature for a full day, with no account or card. After that your boards stay yours and still open; buy a license to keep creating.
Is it a subscription?
No. You pay once and the app is yours for life. There are no monthly or yearly payments, and it never stops working.
What does “1 year of free updates” mean?
For a year after you buy, every new version of Wamoboard is free for you: new features, improvements and fixes, installed with one click from inside the app.
After that year, nothing stops working. The app is yours for life and keeps working exactly as it does. It doesn't need updates to run, and your boards stay yours. Updates are mostly new features. When a bigger new version comes out later, you can choose to upgrade at a discount, or simply keep using the version you have, forever.
Does one license work on Mac and Windows?
Yes. One license covers both: use it on up to 3 computers, in any mix of Mac and Windows. Boards open on both, and Mac and Windows users can work on the same board together.
How do I get the app after buying?
You get an email with the download links for Mac and Windows and your license key. Install the app, open it and paste the key.
My computer warns me when I open the app. Is that normal?
For now, yes. Mac: if macOS says it can't check the app, click Done, then → System Settings → Privacy & Security → Find Wamoboard → “Open Anyway”. Windows: click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. You only do this once.
Where are my boards stored?
On your computer, as .board files in the folder you choose. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. Back them up like any other file.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The app only needs the internet once, to activate your license, and to check for updates.
How does live sharing work?
The person who owns a board shares it with an invite code. Others who have Wamoboard paste the code and join, with “can edit” or “view only” access. The connection goes straight between your computers, with no Wamoboard server in between.
I was invited to a shared board. Do I need to buy?
No. Download Wamoboard for free and join with the invite code. You can look at the board, and change it too if the owner gave you edit access. You only need a license to make your own boards.
Can I move my license to a new computer?
Yes. In Wamoboard → License… click “Deactivate this computer”, then activate the key on the new one, Mac or Windows. Lost access to the old one? Write to us and we'll free it.
